| Mary is a member of the Irish Massage Therapist Association
and Embody. Mary has completed extensive post graduate
courses in on site/corporate massage, pregnancy massage
and aromatherapy for pregnancy and babies. She has been
studying sign language for the past three years.
Mary runs Aromatherapy courses for home use in Health
& Herbs Sea road and Knocknacarra. In the course
topics covered include different ways of using essential
oils, beauty treatments, massage and different ailments
helped by aromatherapy. These courses last for six weeks.
In 2002 Mary trained as a baby massage instructor with
the International Association of Infant Massage. She
runs baby massage courses for parents and caregivers.
This is a mobile service with class in Knocknacarra,
Oranmore, Loughrea, Tuam, ClareGalway and surrounding
areas. The classes run for five weeks in which parents
are taught a simple but effective massage routine.
Babies can be aged from 4 weeks to precrawling. Baby
massage is a combination of Swedish, Indian, reflexology
massage & yoga designed by Vimala Mc Clure
Since 2005 she has volunteered in a Moldovan orphanage
where she used her skills as a massage therapist and
baby massage instructor. With a team of physio’s
she developed her skills in dealing with children who
have special needs. The female orphanage has girls aged
from 1 year to 18 with a wide range of physical and
mental disabilities.
In 2007 Mary completed a baby swim course with the swimming
teachers association.
